I'm not joking... I bought a car "Like a Girl".
I know right! How many of you are offended by that statement? What does it mean to buy a car like a girl? And by the way it is also TOTALLY another "
Accidental Hipster" event in my life.
Here she is, my
Scion iQ, my Micro Car. It is the essence of what makes an
Austin Hipster uber Cool right now. Don't fear for my safety, with her 11 air bags she turns in to a marshmallow if an accident occurs.
She reminds me of
Troll dolls in the 1980's, so ugly she is the cutest thing around. So... getting back to the original statement "I bought a car like a girl". How on God's green earth did girls get such a bad reputation for purchasing things? This Scion iQ makes my 21st negation to purchase a vehicle, and I've never walked away with a "bad" deal.
Psst... don't tell the Car Salesman out there, but the 1st car I ever purchased, I negotiated such a phenomenal deal the dealership sent an employee over 500 miles and across state lines with an "alternative" car to swap with me. How do you think that worked for the Dealership? 10 years later 3 other members of my family owned and enjoyed that car.
With that I'm saying "Buying a Car Like a Girl" has meant the best deal going in my 20 year experience . Buying this Scion iQ from
Austin's Toyota Auto Nation has lived up to my standard. However what I mean by the expected standard of buying a car like a girl... I pulled into Toyota 6:30pm Easter Eve... my 1st dealership and really just maybe thinking about looking... stated I don't know what I want OH! that's cute let me drive it... then bought it... no research. My sales team Jeff & Todd sent me home that night with the ability to bring her back on Monday and walk away from the deal they offered me. 36+ hours to think over and research.
Just WHAT DID I DO? I bought her, and used
Austin's Toyota Auto Nation's Finance Department although I went to my AMAZING bank
Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union and was pre-Approved at the exact same interest rate I was offered. But my Finance Guru at Auto Nation Jeremy added real value to using his department and I walked out with a 125,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. My 1st time in 21 transactions to purchase this, and trust me when I say a win win situation for me. Door handle, radio, latch, side mirror motor gives out... no deductible... no parts... no labor...
SO... when I say "I Bought a Car Like a Girl"... I'm saying a I received the best deal that dealership was offering... I made friends... and I left with a new member of my family (that for the right price I will sell her to you in a heartbeat).
If you think I'm solid negotiating car deals I've done 1000's more mortgage loans. I always look out for the best interest of my client and work every deal just as if it was for myself (because at the end of the day "being a girl" means making sure people are taken care of in the right way).
